About ExamFitr

ExamFitr is a free tool that resizes photos, signatures and other documents to the exact pixels and KB that Indian exam, ID and visa forms ask for. Everything happens in your browser, so your files are never uploaded.

Who it is for

How it works

  1. Pick your exam. Each preset holds the size from the official notice, with its source link and the date it was last checked. Today 68 official sizes cover 32 exams and documents.
  2. Open your photo. Your browser reads the file into memory on your device. It is not sent anywhere.
  3. Crop. The crop box is locked to the shape the exam needs, and face detection centres your face. You can move and resize the box by mouse, touch or keyboard.
  4. Hit the size. The editor resizes to the exact pixels, then searches the JPEG quality until the file sits inside the KB range. It keeps files at or below the maximum × 1,000 bytes and at or above the minimum × 1,024 bytes, so they pass whichever definition of KB a portal uses. If a small image can't reach a minimum, it pads the file with harmless JPEG comment bytes instead of distorting the picture.
  5. Fix what the form asks for. Optional steps: replace the background (an AI model running in your browser), clean up a signature so the paper is white and the ink dark, add a name and date strip, or lay out passport photos on a print sheet.
  6. Download. A badge shows whether the result meets the preset. Some exams also let you download every file in one ZIP.

Where the sizes come from

Only from official notices and portals. If we can't read the official document, the size isn't published. The rules, and the source for every exam page, are in our editorial and sourcing policy. What changed and when is in the changelog.

Measured, not guessed

What ExamFitr doesn't do

Who runs it

ExamFitr is an independent project from India. It isn't run by an exam body, a government department or a coaching institute.

If a size has changed or a form is missing, please tell us. A link to the official notification is the most useful thing you can send. Other websites can also embed the resizer for free.
