Visa and passport photo sizes: US visa, UK passport, Canada visa
A US visa (DS-160) photo is a square JPEG of 600 × 600 px up to 240 KB with the head filling 50–69% of the height. A UK passport digital photo must be at least 600 × 750 px and 50 KB–10 MB. A Canada visa photo is 35 × 45 mm with the head 31–36 mm tall, on a plain white or light background.

What Visa & foreign passport photos forms have in common
- GOV.UK crops the photo itself, so don't crop tightly around the head for a UK passport.
- Print sizes differ from upload sizes: the US uses 2 × 2 inches, Canada 35 × 45 mm.
- Glasses are not allowed in US visa photos.
- OCI card: a square photo from 200 × 200 to 900 × 900 px, under 200 KB, on a light background that is not white.
