- Photo: 80% of the image should be the face (without mask), ears visible. Same photo is used at the exam centre. (NTA gives no pixel size; 350x450 is a passport-proportion default.)
- Signature: Clearly legible signature, JPG/JPEG. (NTA gives no pixel size; 350x150 default.)
What else does JEE Main require?
- Photo: colour, 80% face visible (without mask) including ears, white background, JPG/JPEG, 10-200 KB.
- Signature: JPG/JPEG, 10-100 KB.
- Older bulletins used 10-300 KB / 4-30 KB - those figures are out of date.
- JEE Advanced: for Indian candidates the photo and signature are taken from the JEE Main record, so no separate upload is needed.

NTA does not specify pixels, only 10-200 KB. This tool uses 350 x 450 px (passport 3.5:4.5 proportion), which comfortably lands inside the KB range. You can change it in the custom resizer if the portal asks otherwise.
Are my JEE Main photo and signature uploaded to your server?
No. Cropping, resizing and compression happen in your browser. No file is uploaded or stored.
What if the JEE Main notification changes the size?
Specs can change every cycle. Check the new JEE Main notification; if the numbers differ, paste the new requirement into the tool's “Not listed?” box or type the pixels and KB — and tell us so we can update the preset.
